Our work

Programs rooted in community.

Our programs bring together climate action, health, education, and sustainable livelihoods.

Climate Action & Environmental Stewardship

Eco Warriors mobilises communities to restore ecosystems, reduce pollution and make environmental stewardship part of everyday life. The programme connects climate education with visible action, including tree growing, plastic upcycling, community clean-ups and youth-led green enterprise. Environmental work is designed to be inclusive and practical: students, families and young innovators learn by doing, while initiatives such as My Period, My Tree show how menstrual dignity, nutrition and restoration can reinforce one another.

Digital Literacy & Entrepreneurship Skills

Eco Warriors bridges the digital divide by helping young people, farmers and community members build the confidence to use technology safely and productively. The programme connects practical digital literacy with entrepreneurship, civic participation and access to opportunities. Through hands-on learning, mentoring and volunteer-led clinics, participants develop skills for online safety, e-services, communication, market access and enterprise. The focus is not only on devices and connectivity, but on turning digital knowledge into more resilient livelihoods and locally relevant solutions.

Food Security & Sustainable Procurement

Eco Warriors strengthens local food systems by supporting farmers to produce nutritious food sustainably, learn from one another and connect to fairer markets. The programme links climate-smart production with practical post-harvest, value-chain and procurement support. By organising farmers, bringing technical volunteers into community learning spaces and building relationships with institutional buyers, we help households and local producers improve food security while protecting the natural resources on which farming depends.

Leadership & SDG Awareness

Eco Warriors develops confident, inclusive leaders who can turn global goals into action in their schools and communities. The programme equips student leaders, youth volunteers and community champions to understand the Sustainable Development Goals and use them to guide practical local change. Its leadership model centres disability inclusion, peer mentoring, volunteering and community action. Young people are supported to create welcoming spaces, mobilise others and champion equality, health, climate action and accountable development.

Sexual & Reproductive Health and Rights

Eco Warriors advances sexual and reproductive health and rights by pairing accurate, youth-friendly information with practical support for menstrual dignity. The programme works with schools, families, health partners and young people so that girls can manage menstruation safely, confidently and without missing opportunities to learn. Our approach combines reusable-pad access and pad-making skills with stigma-free dialogue, safe and inclusive school environments, and engagement of boys, men and community leaders. It is grounded in the organisation’s work across Jinja City and Budondo Division, where menstrual-health outreach, training and community campaigns have reached thousands of girls and young people.
